Striper Fishing in the Delaware River

Watch me catch my first Striper in the Delaware River fishin` alongside my
buddy Curt. We were driftin` live eels most of the mornin` and after a few hours, I
decided to throw out another line & bottom fish with a dead eel figurin` I`d catch a nice channel or flathead Catfish. Low & behold, to my surprise a decent Striper picked up that dead eel & gave me a really decent battle! Watch the clip below.
Default 3
After I landed the Striper we measured it……. 27.5 inches……
a half inch short from the legal size of 28 inches! So we took some pictures and released him.

  1. Real nice striper. I caught one the other day in the Egg Harbour Bay, about 23 inches. He fought like crazy. I got him on a 2 oz jig with Berkely gulp twister tail.
